Now that we're nearing our product launch we thought it might be fun to look back to where it all began in March 2024.
Ready Steady Slope was born during a snowy week in L'Alpe d'Huez when a heavy snowfall (40-50 cms in a few hours ) closed all the lifts for a day. After a fun morning in the powder ❄️, we went back indoors. Armed only with a pen, paper and a love of skiing and snowboarding, we created the first prototype as a way to keep two restless kids entertained. It worked, and we kept playing even when the lifts opened back up.
This is what that first early effort looked like. We've been through more than a few design iterations since then, but the fundamentals of the game that was born on that snowy day have remained exactly the same.
