We're skiers and snowboarders who wanted the feeling of a powder day to survive the trip home. Two years of prototypes and playtests later, Ready Steady Slope is the result. This is the story of how it happened — and the crew behind it.
The Beginning
Born on the Slopes
Ready Steady Slope was created during a snowy week in L'Alpe D'Huez. After a long day on the mountain, we wanted to keep the adrenaline going — but a huge dump meant the pistes were closed so we were back in the chalet indoors.
That's when the idea struck: what if we could capture the excitement of snowboarding and skiing in a fast-paced card game? We grabbed a pen and paper, and started designing. By the end of the day, we had the first prototype — and we couldn't stop playing!
