❄️🏂 Winter Olympics Round-Up: Big Air, Big Speed!!⛷️❄️

Yesterday delivered exactly what we want from the Winter Olympics: snowboarding madness, downhill speed, massive endurance, and a serious dose of goosebumps.

The Big Air snowboard events were pure chaos in the best possible way. Huge amplitude, razor-sharp landings, and riders throwing everything they had at the judges. One missed edge and it was over; one clean stomp and the crowd went wild. This is high-risk, all-reward riding at its finest This is exactly why snowboarding owns the spotlight on days like this.

Japan’s Kira Kimura set the tone with massive first and third jumps, delivering when it mattered most to claim gold at Milano Cortina 2026 on Saturday, 7 February.

On the ski side, it was a full-throttle day on the slopes, perfect fuel for any Winter Games fan and Ready Steady Slope player.

In the men’s downhill, Switzerland’s Franjo von Allmen dominated the legendary Stelvio course, taking gold with a blistering 1:51.61. Italy’s Giovanni Franzoni followed with silver, while veteran Dominik Paris thrilled the home crowd with bronze. Sky-high speeds, zero margin for error, alpine racing at its most uncompromising.

Over in cross-country, the women’s 10km+10km skiathlon definitely belonged to Sweden. Frida Karlsson convincingly powered to gold, Ebba Andersson secured silver, and Norway’s Heidi Weng completed the podium in a masterclass of endurance and tactics.

And today brings another huge moment: Lindsey Vonn’s comeback. Seeing her return to downhill racing in Cortina is set to be inspiring: experience, resilience, and pure competitive fire. Champions don’t just disappear. They return.

At Ready Steady Slope, this is the energy we live for. Bold moves, tactical decisions, and moments that flip everything on its head. Winter sport is about more than medals... it’s nerve, timing, and playing the slope right.

More action incoming. So strap into your bindings, it’s downhill day! Keep watching… and keep playing. 🏔️🎿🃏
